Driving Directions: I-5 North-bound or I-5 South-bound: Take the State Highway 89 Exit that is located one mile south of Mt. Shasta City toward Reno, NV. Go about 10 miles south on Highway 89. There is a large sign on Highway 89 after reaching McCloud California advising that the Forest Service Office is 1/4 mile ahead. From Susanville, CA: Take State Highway 44 north about 60 miles to Old Station, CA and the intersection with State Highway 89. Turn right on Highway 89 and drive about 75 miles to the town of McCloud. A large sign on Highway 89 gives local directions to the Ranger Station.
